Stop Losing Great Teachers
Start Building a Culture They Are Proud to Stay In.Â
The School Culture Compass is a proven, data-driven system that gives school leaders real tools, a clear framework, and a step-by-step path to building the culture your staff deserves.
Transform Your School Culture Today
Can we be honest here?
Good teachers are leaving. Not because they hate kids. Not because they gave up on the mission. They're leaving because the culture of the building is costing them more than they can afford to give.
You're seeing it. The quiet frustration in the hallway. The staff member who used to come in early and now barely makes it by the bell. The resignation letter that surprises nobody — except maybe you.
And here's the part that nobody wants to say out loud:
Replacing a single staff member costs between $15,000 and $25,000.
That's not a culture problem. That's a budget problem. A morale problem. A leadership problem. And it compounds every single year you don't address it.
The School Culture Compass is rooted in one truth:
People are the heart and core of every thriving organization. We build cultures that connect people to each other; and to the mission of our school.
Here's the truth: you don't have a motivation problem. You have a system problem.
The School Culture Compass changes that.
This isn't a pep talk. It's not a binder full of strategies you'll never use. The School Culture Compass is a complete, self-paced leadership system built by a school leader who has lived this work from the inside.
It gives you real data, real tools, and a real framework for building a school culture where your staff feel safe, heard, supported, and connected — not just at the start of the year, but all year long.
The framework is organized around four pillars. Together, they give you a complete picture of where your culture is strong and where it needs your attention.
Eight modules. One clear path.
The School Culture Compass is a self-paced, lifetime-access course designed so you can move at your own page and come back to any module as your school evolves. Here's exactly what you get:
You're not just getting a course.
Every module comes with a complete toolkit you can use immediately. Here's what's included in your lifetime access:
This is proven. Not theoretical.
I haven't just studied culture...I've built it as Executive Director of Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy in Milwaukee.

ABOUTÂ EDWARD DESHAZER
I'm Edward DeShazer, educator, keynote speaker, author, and Executive Director of Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy in Milwaukee. I've been in education for over 20 years.
I wasn't always a leader. I was an at-risk student who needed someone to believe in the full version of me. That experience of growing up, falling short, and eventually finding my way into a calling I love is what drives everything I do for school leaders today.
I've won multiple leadership awards. I've spoken at conferences across the country. I've written three books. But the thing I'm most proud of is the culture we've built at our school. A culture where staff stay, grow, and show up every day like it matters. Because it does.
I created the School Culture Compass because I know what it takes to build that kind of place. And I know you can build it too.

Common questions
|
Who is this for? The School Culture Compass is designed for principals, assistant principals, instructional leaders, superintendents, and any school leader responsible for staff culture and retention. It works for single-school leaders and district teams alike. |
|
Is this for individual leaders or full leadership teams? Both. Individual leaders can work through the course independently. Leadership teams can work through it together. The tools are designed to be used collaboratively or solo. |
|
How long does it take to complete? The course is self-paced, so you move on your own timeline. Most leaders complete the full course over 4 to 8 weeks. You can also jump directly to the pillar most relevant to your school right now. |
|
I already have PD systems in place. Will this overlap? The School Culture Compass is a leadership system, not a PD program for teachers. It's for you and your leadership practice. Most leaders find that it complements and clarifies whatever else they're already doing. |
|
Is there any coaching support available? Yes. Coaching is available as a separate add-on for leaders who want personalized implementation support. Reach out directly at ed@edwarddeshazer.org to learn more. |
